Deploy G8 in your own infrastructure
OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker or virtual machines, networks without internet access included. The console sits beside the traffic path, runs as replicas and keeps its data in a database you provide.
What runs where
- G8 and the G8 engine clusters it manages run inside your infrastructure.
- The console and the management API run together, and you can run multiple replicas of them.
- G8 keeps its data in a database you provide.
- Each Environment is a G8 engine cluster, and G8 manages it through the engine’s admin interface.
- API traffic runs from your API clients through the G8 engine to your backend services.
- The console and management API sit beside that path: API traffic doesn’t pass through them.
- Connect Prometheus to an Environment for Analytics and Alerts, and Elasticsearch or OpenSearch for the request records of Traffic Explorer.
- Every audit record is also written as a structured log line that your log collector can take to your SIEM.
- G8 installs on OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker or virtual machines. Use Docker for a quick demo or proof of concept.
- G8 scales horizontally: run it as multiple replicas that share one database. The replicas share only G8’s database.
What G8 needs from your infrastructure
Every part of G8 runs in your infrastructure. This is what it needs there. We agree on sizing with you during the proof of concept.
An OpenShift or Kubernetes cluster, a Docker host, or virtual machines.
G8 keeps its data in a database you provide.
One for each Environment, such as Development, Staging and Production. Add clusters you already run.
For Analytics and Alerts, in each Environment where you want them.
For the request records of Traffic Explorer, in each Environment where you want them.
For alert emails. Alerts can also go to webhooks.
To map its groups to G8 roles.
Only for the LLM providers you route AI traffic to, and for the AI Plugins marked “Connects to an external service.”
Security of the installation
The management API and console run from a minimal container image as a non-root user.
On OpenShift, G8 runs under the default restricted security profile, without extra privileges.
Gateway admin keys are stored encrypted.
Add your organization’s certificate authority; certificate verification can’t be turned off.

Operating and supporting G8
G8 comes with tools for upgrading G8 itself, backing up and restoring its database, and producing a diagnostic bundle for support.
You get engineering support in Turkish and English, and our engineers work with your team when you install and upgrade G8. Support and help with installation and upgrades are included in the G8 license.
Customers open support requests in the support portal.
