How to buy G8
G8 comes in three editions: Community, Enterprise and Enterprise AI. Enterprise editions are licensed by the gateway nodes you run and their type. There’s no public price list; we prepare a quote for your organization.
One platform in three editions
The editions share one console and one G8 engine. Community manages the gateway configuration of one Environment. Enterprise adds every console feature: Environments, observability, Developer Portal, roles mapped to your directory and the audit log. Enterprise AI adds the G8 Copilot: run the gateway in conversation.

The G8 Copilot: run your gateway in conversation
Ask the console in plain language and the Copilot finds, explains and changes gateway configuration for you: which Routes a Plugin runs on, why a request was refused, a rate limit to raise on Staging.
- Your roles apply. The Copilot acts with the permissions of the person asking, never more.
- Recorded like any change. What it changes passes the G8 engine and the audit log, under the name of the person who asked.
- Explains before it acts. It shows what it is about to change and waits for your yes.
Licensed by gateway node and node type
A license covers a number of gateway nodes of each type for one edition. The nodes that run the console and its database don’t count.
- A signed license fileYou install the license as a signed file. G8 checks it locally, never calls home and runs in networks without internet access.
- Nodes you can seeG8 lists the gateway nodes of every Environment, so you see the nodes in use against your license.
- CommunityCommunity is free and needs no node count.
What counts as a gateway node
For example, four gateway nodes in Production and two in Staging are four production nodes and two non-production nodes.
- Count every G8 engine instance that carries traffic: a virtual machine, a container or a pod replica.
- Count production and non-production nodes separately. Development, test and staging Environments are non-production.
- The G8 console, the management API and its database aren’t counted, and neither are Prometheus, Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
- Plan for the most nodes you run at once, including replicas you add for peak traffic.
From a demo to a running platform
Buying G8 starts with a demo and a proof of concept, so you see it work in your own infrastructure before you buy.
- 01Demo
We show your team G8 and answer your questions.
- 02Proof of concept
On Docker for a quick start, or on the infrastructure you plan to run G8 on.
- 03License
We prepare a quote for your edition and nodes, and you receive a signed license file.
- 04Installation
Our engineers install G8 with your team, on OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker or virtual machines.
- 05Support
Engineering support in Turkish and English, and help with every upgrade.
What we ask to prepare a quote
- The Environments G8 will manage, such as Development, Staging and Production.
- Where you’ll install G8: OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker or virtual machines.
- The gateway nodes you expect to run in each Environment, production and non-production.
- The edition you’re interested in: Enterprise or Enterprise AI.
Questions about buying G8
- Is Community free?
- Yes. Community manages the gateway configuration of one Environment, with no license fee.
- Can we move from Community to Enterprise?
- Yes. You install an Enterprise license file and keep your gateway configuration.
- Does the license need an internet connection?
- No. G8 checks the signed license file locally and never calls home.
- Do non-production nodes count?
- Yes, as non-production nodes, counted separately from production nodes.
- Is there a hosted version?
- No. G8 is installed in your infrastructure.
- Which languages are supported?
- The console is in English. Support is in Turkish and English.
